DIY, baby!

IN THE PAST FEW months many people I know have announced pregnancies and births and I have had the joy of watching the kids of friends and family grow a little every day. That would make anybody have baby on the brain – so all that energy was channeled into this, the 8th edition of EasyDIY.

The first step for any parent about to experience the joy and chaos of a toddler is to baby proof their home. We show you how, tell you what to look out for and recommend some products to get you started. Also check out the Savvy Shopper Guide for product information. And of you’re planning on converting your spare room into a nursery, we’ll share a project that was done right.

Our cover star Cindy Nell-Roberts opens the doors of her gorgeous Camps Bay home to us to share some inspiring decor and lifestyle ideas with you. Her son’s room is particularly stylish and is the kind of space that we’re sure will have longevity. Since Cindy is expecting her second child, there’s sure to be some DIY inspiration on offer.

We understand that having kids is probably one of the most expensive things you’ll do in your life, so our projects section is packed with DIY ideas for fun kids decor as well as indoor and outdoor play stations that won’t break the bank.
